This policy explains what GooseLine LLC collects through gooselinegroup.com, why we collect it, and what we do with it. GooseLine LLC is a licensed freight broker based in Hinckley, Illinois.

What we collect

We collect information in one place only: the quote request form. Nothing is collected unless you press Request Quote. If you start filling in the form and then close the page, what you typed is not sent to us and we never see it.

When you submit a quote request, we receive:

• Your name, and your company name if you give one
• Your email address and phone number
• The origin and destination of the shipment
• The freight type and commodity, if you provide them
• Any other shipment details you choose to enter, such as pickup date, weight, dimensions, piece count, or notes

Our website host also records standard technical information for every visit, such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested. This is ordinary server logging and is used to keep the site running and secure.

Why we collect it

• To quote and arrange your shipment. We need the lane and the freight details to price it, and your contact details to send you the rate and reach you about the load.
• To confirm we received your request. Submitting the form triggers an automatic confirmation email to the address you gave.
• To follow up on requests that fail. If you press Request Quote and something goes wrong on our end, we still receive what you submitted so your request is not silently lost.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your information, and we do not share it for anyone else's advertising.

We share it only where it is needed to do the job you asked us to do:

• Motor carriers. To arrange a shipment we pass the relevant load details to the carrier we select, and the pickup and delivery contact information needed to complete it.
• Service providers that run our systems. Our website host, our email provider and our transportation management system process this information on our behalf so we can receive, store and act on your request.
• When the law requires it, or to establish or defend a legal claim.

Cookies and advertising

Our website host may set cookies that are necessary for the site to function and stay secure.

We also advertise online. If you reach this site from an advertisement, our advertising provider may set a cookie so we can tell that the click led to a quote request. This tells us which advertisements are working. It does not tell us who you are, and we do not use it to build a profile of you.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The quote form will still work.

How long we keep it

Quote requests and the shipment records that come from them are kept as ordinary business records, for as long as needed to serve you and to meet our record-keeping obligations as a licensed broker. Requests that never become shipments are kept while they may still be useful, then removed.

Your choices

Email us at quotes@gooselinegroup.com or call 630-777-2703 and we will:

• Tell you what we hold about you
• Correct anything that is wrong
• Delete it, where we are not required to keep it
• Stop contacting you

You can unsubscribe from any marketing email using the link in that email. Operational messages about a shipment you booked are not marketing and will continue while the load is active.

Security

The site is served over an encrypted connection, and access to quote data is limited to the people who need it to do the work. No system is perfectly secure, so please do not send us sensitive personal information such as financial account details or government identification numbers through the quote form.

Children

This is a business-to-business site. It is not directed to children and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page.
